Life In The Pit Lane started off in 2014 when the husband and wife duo of Benjamin and Cassandra Hebbourn had the idea to start a blog that gave an insight into the untold stories of motor racing.
Benjamin was a member of the Mclaren Formula One team and was able to give insightful and previously untold accounts of lie in the pitlane while Cassandra gave her account of the life of a mother and a wife of someone working in the motorsport industry. This was, at the time, the only blog in the world that covered these parts of motorsport. It is now a privilege to be able to bring Life In The Pit Lane back to life and this time bigger and better than ever!
Life has its twists and turns and in 2019 the family relocated to Swedish Lapland to begin a new chapter in their lives,
Cassandra was able to combine her passion for Lapland and her interpersonal skills to build a reputation for being the ‘go to’ for all Lappland travel and experience advice, This has lead on to organic growth and the creation of a business focused on delivery bespoke experiences for people who want to come and see, feel and taste the magic of Lappland. In 2025 Benjamin was given the opportunity to get back into Formula one with Williams Grand Prix Racing. The love of motorsport and Formula one in particular has always been a characteristic of the Hebbourn family and the chance to relive a life in the pit lane was a dream come true,
All the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle never before conceived were lying before us and so the combination of Cassandra’s skills in travel and Benjamin’s first hand knowledge of many of the Grand Prix locations Life In The Pit Lane was reborn.
